Newborns who spent time in the neonatal intensive care unit at the University of South Alabama Childrens amp Womens Hospital and their families are invited to a reunion planned for May 20 in Mobile
Called a NICU reunion the free event is scheduled from 1 to 3 pm May 20 at the hospitals Geri Moulton Childrens Park located between the medical facility and the Ronald McDonald House off Springhill Avenue

The NICU graduates are babies who were born premature underweight or ill and were treated in the unit hospital officials said The Wiseman NICU at USA Childrens amp Womens Hospital is designated as a Level III NICU providing advanced care for premature and critically ill newborns
Nearly 1000 babies are admitted annually to the hospitals neonatal intensive care unit with more than 20 percent of those infants brought from other hospitals by the USA Childrens amp Womens Hospital special transport vehicle officials said
Refreshments will be served and childrens games will be available The park includes more than 50 lifesize bronze sculptures depicting children and families
